Kaleidoscope Workshop
GETTING MY CRAFT ON!
Yesterday I held my first workshop for 2016 where I showcased some gorgeous layouts using the fun Kaleidoscope Paper Kit,Kaleidoscope Complements and Assortment
This great kit comes with all the materials and instructions to create 15 beautiful cards
(5 each of 3 designs).
But why stop there....the stamp set that is included in this kit is so versatile, if you're also a scrapbooker, it can be used for all sorts of celebration pages. At my workshop we've been playing with the "Carborder Idea" This idea was submitted by WA Consultant Shaunna Richards. The idea is that you can use any card layout as a scrapbook border by mounting it onto a 4"x12" strip.
As I am a scrapbooker at heart I just love that I can use all the amazing card layouts in my scrapbooks!"

Christmas Crafting has commenced!
During the month of November, I hold one workshop a week concentrating on Christmas Crafts for the impending festive season.
Yesterday was the first workshop where we started on our Christmas Card stash! We created four gorgeous cards that could be easily replicated at home.
First up was this cute Door Wreath card. Using the C1591 Merry, Merry Stamp Set it was fun to put this card together. We added a few Bitty Sparkles coloured with Shin Han markers to add a bit of bling!
This card was inspired by one found on Pinterest and my talented downline Doreen Watkins.
Next up, this Classic Noel card features the Yuletide Carol paper pack, C1598 Noel Stamp Set and Shin Han markers to colour some of the image.
Our third card is cute and quirky featuring the A1162 Bright Spirits stamp set, some Yuletide Carol paper and some bling in the form of Gold Shimmer Trim and Bitty Sparkles. Some texture was added by dry embossing the bottom layer with the Damask Embossing folder.
Last but not least was this elegant Hark the Herald Angels Sing card. This card uses the exclusive Hostess Rewards stamp set - C1587 Sing Glory. You can buy this stamp set at a greatly discounted price if you host your own gathering. The soft Glacier Cardstock and Exclusive Inks stamp pad give this card a soft and serene feel.
To add a bit of sparkle and shine to this card we added some Silver Shimmer Trim and some Sparkles Clear Assortment

Party Hoot!
Check out my little Party Owl....he's wearing a special party hat complete with a pom pom made with Harvest Barkers Twine (retired)!
The August Stamp of the Month - What a Hoot is a fun set where these adorable owls can be used for any number of themes....not just Halloween as suggested by the sentiment included in the stamp set.
My little party owl is also dressed up with some fancy Pink Glitter Gems on his chest and the card also features some blingy Black Shimmer Trim.

You're the Bomb Layered Card
The June Stamp of the Month - Kaboom is a really fun and festive set to use. You've probably seen plenty of these layered cards before, usually using flowers....well this is a fun take on that card!
This card looks pretty fancy but it's fairly easy to put together. You need 3 layers of white cardstock or varying sizes. Layer them on top of one an other (secure with a tiny bit of adhesive to avoid movement while stamping), then random stamp the fireworks pattern over all the layers of white card. Add a few "Bang!" & "Bam" stamps among the fireworks.
Mount the two smaller layers of stamped white card with a matching coloured cardstock then stick all three layers together and onto a card base. You can stamp and "fussy" cut the TNT and "You're the Bomb" embellishments then use 3D Foam tape to add dimension. Add a liner to the inside of the card and decorate if desired.
